Good hotel. Well placed with access to all amenities. Most importantly, the staff are brilliant!!! The reception team were extremely welcoming and the breakfast team were great fun and extremely efficient. Clean room and helpful housekeeping staff. Really enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to going back sometime.

We had a nice 3-night stay in March 2024. Location is great; away from the busiest streets but still fairly central and close to many cafes and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are furnished to a high standard. We had a good mini-fridge which was restocked every day with 2 x Tunnock's wafers, Irn Bru (hooray!) and bottled water. The room was cleaned every day. The hotel bar is OK; it's not the cosiest of spaces but there is a TV and good selection of spirits. The beer selection is minimal - no taps at all, just cans from the fridge. It's as exensive as you would expect for a hotel bar. We didn't go for the breakfast, which was out of our price range at £17.50 per head; we opted instead to visit local cafes, all of good quality and within walking distance. Again, a nod to the hotel's good location. Construction work was taking place during our stay. We were warned in advance of this, so no problem there. There was scaffolding up on the front of the hotel and in front of our window, but the work didn't affect our comfort, noise was kept to a minimum, and was conducted at reasonable hours. My one complaint is the basement room that we were originally assigned. It isn't fit for purpose as it sits underneath Reception and has constant noise from above. We asked to switch rooms and the staff were helpful and accommodating, giving us a room on the top (fourth) floor instead, which was the most perfectly quiet room we've ever had in any hotel! So we were incredibly grateful for this change; we were indeed fortunate that the hotel wasn't at capacity at the time. All in all, I would absolutely visit again - provided our room is on at least the ground floor!

First time using this venue Lovely welcome with Carla at reception so nice and friendly Room was amazing a suite ! Very comfortable slept so well, must find out the mattress type, Breakfast was lovely so much choice and hot food great quality Would highly recommend this hotel perfect location for station, bus station and playhouse theatre and of course shops and sights Thank you Indigo Hotel

Great hotel, able to check in early, room was at the back and really quiet. When we checked out was able to leave our luggage until later in the day and collect just before our train. Didn’t have breakfast here so can’t comment on this. All staff we spoke to helpful

The staff were so helpful with storing our luggage as we arrived hours before booking in time. We spent a few hours in Edinburgh and when we returned our luggage had been taken to our room. The room was very nice and had everything anyone would need. We did find that we tended to roll into the middle of the mattress but other than that we had no issues. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was nice and quiet. The breakfast was excellent and lots of choices, a good start to the day. Couple of minutes walk to playhouse theatre, St James quarter and Omni centre. Trams are just outside the hotel.
